In all honesty the amount of gigs I've performed at in the last few months has been ridiculous, It's almost like Christmas! Except at this time of year it’s wedding cake and not mince pies.

One exciting piece of news is that I’ve been selected to be a contestant on the Endemol game show Deal or no Deal hosted by the super slick Noel Edmonds.
Ok, I too before meeting him would never have described Edmonds as 'Slick' but after shooting 18 episodes in 6 days and seeing him ad-lib every day the man is a total pro and I can even forgive him for Mr Blobby.

We've broken from filming for the bank holiday week and will resume full production in June when I will undoubtedly be selected. All I can say is the whole experience is intense, an emotional roller coaster of highs and lows which allows for a truly unique time. I have also filmed a couple of Magic scenes which will be aired prior to my game for their third anniversary show. There's some delay time between production and output and I'am not sure of the transmission dates yet but will let all know.

Wish me luck!

If you have any events going on this Summer where you need a Magician to entertain at: Weddings, Fetes, Garden parties, club lunches, all outdoor events, Masonic initiation rites (I won’t tell honest) then feel free to contact me for an immediate quote. I’ ve also taken eight bookings for Christmas, so if you think you’ll be needing a Magician for your Christmas party please enquire now.

I recently worked for corporate heavy weight Earnst & Young at an amazing no expense spared event held at Old Billingsgate Market. It really was a spectacular event in every way from the overall theme to the food and the location, the lighting and even the people serving the food looked good.
Oh and the entertainment was pretty swish too ;-) As well as Magicians, Mime Artists, Jugglers, Fortune Tellers, Characaturists, Still Life Statues, Opera Singers and one crazy waiter (don’t ask) they’d also hired the worlds largest table football game. Only 6 exist. Yours truly managed to film some of it on my phone, I hope you like.

February Blues

I wasn't planing on writing this post but after correcting some mistakes on my site and while in an 'editing mode' I felt somewhat compelled . My reason for this DIY job is I wanted to have total control over my updates and general output. Usually I rely on a web guy to make updates at £50 per time and lately I just find myself wanting to update things quite frequently, so here we are.

The site has been totally built in a very cool application called Rapid Weaver and I can highly recommend it as an extremely powerful web creation tool, it's a Mac only title so all you PC users out there cannot use it. But that's not my motive , I simply love to tell all, so here goes....

January can be dead time for us Magicians and at the beginning of Jan I had 4 gigs booked which is pretty lean. By the end of Jan I'd done 9 gigs, one of which, was a fly by gig in Kuwait so all in all I ticked over quite nicely.

Gigs of notability; Kuwait was great, see how that rhymes. No really it was, although only in the country for 24 hours I had a great experience and having done a lot of work in Dubai it was interesting to see a more traditional side to Arabic culture, well sort of. Big thanks to Anwar for all your hospitality.

Also, thanks to Sue Hill recruitment especially for the lovely food, was a great event although the smallest venue I ve ever worked in. Mercedes in Wimbledon, thanks again for a fun time in the very cool Cannizaro House, nice and local to me.

One last note of mention to the beautiful location in East Sussex that is Ashdown Park, I seem to do more and more work there every year. It really is a wonderful venue for any event with so much history and really diligent staff, thanks to all there!

I ll be shooting a series (15) of Internet Virals (short video clips) for Virgin Mobile next week. These will all be up on my Video page with-in the next few months and should look super duper. It's always fun doing something different in my line of work and TV/Internet produced footage usually always look good so please revisit in a few weeks to see the fruits of my toil.

Be well. It's bit like having a proper job and getting a bonus at the end of year. Generally Magicians work a lot more in the festive season and by the end of December we'll of earned our bonus.. The down side is, that's when being a Magician becomes a proper job, every day performing, sometimes three shows a day is really exhausting, well it is for me.

Tonight I performed for a well known bank, it was their Xmas work do. I am not too fond of Office Christmas parties purely because most people get totally pissed before the starters are away and some guy, usually from accounts thinks it's hilarious to say 'make my wife disappear,' all night..... To be fair this company were very nice and even gave a Christmas goodie bag to take home.

I still have some dates available in December, about four I think but please remember if I am already booked I can always advise on hiring a reputable Close-Up Magician.

Bye for now.
